2. What we collect
Daftbox does not collect personal data. We do not create accounts, and we do not collect names, contacts, photos, or location data.
3. Face data (TrueDepth camera)
Daftbox uses ARKit face tracking with the TrueDepth front camera to turn your facial movements into sound, like a talkbox.
What is collected. With your permission, the app reads real-time facial-expression values provided by Apple's ARKit (numeric blend-shape coefficients such as jaw opening, lip and mouth shape, and tongue position) and face-mesh geometry. The app never records, stores, or has access to saved camera images, video, photos, or depth maps.
How it is used. These values are processed on your device, in real time, for one purpose only: controlling the built-in synthesizer (volume, vowel sound, and vibrato). They are discarded immediately after each frame is processed.
What is stored. If you run the optional vowel calibration, the app saves a small numeric profile (averaged mouth-shape values for each vowel) on your device only, so vowels track your face more accurately. This profile contains no images and cannot identify you. It stays on your device until you reset calibration in the app or delete the app.
Sharing and disclosure. Face data is never transmitted off your device. It is not shared with us, with Apple, or with any third party, and it is not used for identification, authentication, advertising, or analytics.
Retention. Real-time face data: not retained (discarded each frame). Calibration profile: retained on-device until you reset it or uninstall the app.
4. Tracking and analytics
We do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not use third-party advertising identifiers.
5. Advertising
The app contains no in-app ads.
